Summer Music Academy 2024

 

Registration opens March 4th!  

The MSD Community School Summer Music Academy is designed for instrumental music students who are completing grades 3-11 in June 2024 and is open to students from all districts. The Academy provides a half-day, four-week comprehensive music program that includes small group lessons on primary and secondary instruments, large ensembles, a variety of music electives, and a Gala Finale Concert! Students will receive their full schedule on the first day. The program runs from June 24th – July 19th , and we will be CLOSED Thursday, July 4th in observance of the 4th of July holiday. Busing is not provided. The cost for the program is $500.00. All registration is online at www.msdcommunityschool.org and closes May 17, 2024.

All classes will follow this schedule:

Drop Off - 8:00-8:15 Class 1 - 8:15-9:05 Class 2 - 9:10-9:55 Break - 9:55-10:15 Class 3 - 10:15-11:05 Class 4 - 11:10-12:00

For our 2024 season, we are proud to welcome back Program Coordinator Mr. Ariel Ocasio of Frelinghuysen Middle School. Our teachers are specialists in the family of instruments to which your child’s instrument belongs—guaranteeing a deeper understanding of their progress as a musician!

We invite you to join us for this outstanding summer music experience! Come to our parent information session on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 7:00 PM in the FMS auditoruim to learn more about the program. Available Instruments & Electives *Students signing up for Level II electives must have prior experience in that content area. After reading all of the info listed here please click on the registration tab below to complete all pages and pay in full. If you have never used our online registration system, you will be required to first set up a family profile. **Your child is not registered until all registration forms are completed in full and payment is made. You will receive a confirmation email and then a Google form to make your instrument and class choices. If we do not reach our required minimum number of students for specific instruments or to run the full program, you will be notified no later than May 31st.

Please note that you will first complete the on-line registration and payment.  After you have completed this, you will receive an email confirmation with a Google form to complete your class and instrument choices.  You must complete that form as well to be fully registered!
