Summer Programs

@ Frelinghuysen Middle School

Grades: K- 7

We are sorry to announce that Summer Plus 2020 has been cancelled.

Our primary concern when planning Summer Plus is always the health and safety of our students, staff, and district support staff, in conjunction with our ability to provide an enriching summer learning experience for your student.

After careful consideration of the New Jersey Department of Health Guidelines for Summer Camps as well as information provided by the Centers for Disease Control and the American Camp Association, we had to make this difficult decision.

If you have already registered for Summer Plus 2020 you will receive a separate email explaining how you will receive a refund for your registration fees, if charged.

Please email jennifer.adkins@msdk12.net with any additional questions or concerns..

We hope that you will join us for Summer Plus 2021, and wish everyone a healthy and sunny summer!

Summer Plus isn't summer camp...it is an unforgettable experience that enriches your child.

Full-time students participate in eight classes throughout the day for 6 weeks.

Course options cover a variety of topics including science and technology, reading/writing and self-expression components along with arts, crafts, cooking, nutrition, sports, and the performing arts.

Additionally, participants enjoy several half-day field trips over the course of the summer.

Summer Plus promotes learning through enriched and innovative courses combined with traditional summer fun.

The program runs 6-weeks from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and before & aftercare is available

Afternoon 1/2 day options are available, as well as 3-week full-day programs.

Calling All Kids ensures our youngest students feel welcome and connected during Summer Plus.

Calling All Kids! (C.A.K) is a unique Summer Plus program designed for children who are just finishing Kindergarten in June or who will enter Kindergarten in the fall.

As our youngest campers, C.A.K students are assigned to a group of 20 or fewer children for the duration of the program. They experience eight activities, following the same schedule each day.

C.A.K activities feature foundation skills in reading and math, art, science, music and dance, friendship-building, and physical education.

Attendance options are as follows:

Full day for six weeks

Half-day (afternoon only) for six weeks

Full day three weeks ( week 1- 3 )

The cost is the same as for a regular Summer Plus enrollment of the same length.

Please be sure to mark Calling All Kids on your registration form!
